Welcome to my experimental aircraft Web site. It is my intent to document this project from dream to reality, as I build a Vans RV12 in my garage. As the project progressed, I decided to go from Experimental Light Sport Aircraft (ELSA) to Experimental Amateur Built (EAB). That means I can call it whatever I want and do things anyway I want too. My intent is to paint it to mimic Air Force One, so therefore I can call it an AF 1 if I want to. The FAA went along with me, and it is officially registered with the FAA as "Air Force 1"
For those of you who wonder what would possess a 73 year old pilot and A&P with a perfectly fine 1946 Ercoupe to build an airplane from scratch, I am not sure I even know the answer, but if you go read the first several entries of this log, the reason may become clear. I am looking to have a heck of a lot of fun in the building, and hopefully flying this aircraft.
