Disassembled the elevator, deburring, and dimpling as I went.
Machine counter sunk the top side of 606p by hand with the deburing tool. I dimpled a piece of scrap to check the fit. The spar material seems a little thin to me for this, but with the trim hinge in the assembly acting as a doubler I guess it is OK.
I bent both elevator skins with the home made brake press. That was a mistake. It is much harder to dimple the skin after has been bent.
While dimpling the skin with the squeezer, I missed the hole and punched the skin. I later checked this with Vans tech support. They said it was a very common mistake and not a problem here. Flatten the bad dimple out and then dimple the right hole. I'll later fill the rest of the hole with some epoxy when I rivet it together.
