I cut to width the “L shaped” extrusions (FL706B) for both ailerons and did the edge finishing. One leg on the angle will need to be trimmed to match the FL706 bracket, but I’ll do that later once I get everything positioned and drilled. Using the full scale view on the drawings, I marked up one of the angles for the hole locations. Then, using the drill press, I piloted each hole with a 1/16th bit and then drilled full size #30. I then used four cleco clamps to match up the second angle and drilled to match.
Doing the fit up on the flap I’m a little uncertain as to what to drill first to assure the best fit up. I think at this point, drilling the FL706 to the end rib will be the best first step. But the angle of bend isn’t quite right yet. I re-bent it a couple times and it is currently as close to 6.3 degrees as I can get, but it looks to be just a hair over bent right now. I’ll work on that next session
