Brief Description:  Right Leading edge - Cherry max rivets

The cherry max blind rivets came in earlier then I thought they would. This allowed me to complete the riveting on the right side leading edge. Access is the only issue. With the exception of one rib (2nd most inboard) it takes some serious grinding on the rivet puller to get it to work. I mean serious grinding! The rivet holes are very close to the rib web so most of the barrel and a good portion of the main structure had to be removed from this Harbor Freight puller. Good thing it was inexpensive. This was quite a bit more material removed then what was necessary for the Fuel Tank Z-brackets. With the exception of the second most outboard rib, the rivets were installed from below with the manufactured head on the aft side of the front spar. For the second most inboard rib, the access and visibility is good for installing from inside the leading edge.

On a side note, Pauline and I attended the Electric Flight Symposium at the Museum of Flight yesterday. It was quite interesting.
