Brief Description: Fuel Tanks – retaining clips for the Flop Tubes
Another short night in the shop, but progress none the less. I separated a couple of the retaining clips and opened up the top via the band saw. The clip fits the flop tube nicely. I located the clips and match drilled #40 and then opened the holes up to #30. Deburred and scuffed up the mating surfaces.
Finally, I wiped down all the parts with MEK.
Next session, I should be able to mix up some sealant and attach these clips, seal the vent and return line bulkhead fittings, and redo those 4 bad rivets. After that I should be ready to install the inboard end ribs.
