Brief Description:  Cleco and drill

I tried to go flying this morning. We were going to do a hop over to Port Townsend (0S9) for breakfast but I never got out of the chocks as the engine was running very rough and then quitting on 739BT. It has been cold and clear for about a week now and I’m sure the cold start had something to do with it. It would fire and then run very roughly like it was missing on one or more cylinders. It would then die if you adjusted the throttle any. I was bummed. So it was back home for bacon and eggs and then to the shop.

This was a repeat of yesterday with the left side – drill, debur, and dimple. It is too cold to do any priming so I dug out the aileron spars and worked all the edges and lightening holes. The sealant on the tank end ribs is getting close to being set, but I think I will keep working on the ailerons until tubing and fittings I ordered show up.
