Brief Description: Flop Tube anti-hang up brackets
I bent up the second u-bracket for the left tank. Drilled and de-burred both parts. Machine counter sunk inboard side for a flush rivet to attach. Used AN426 3-5’s to attach both brackets.
Using paper (manila folder material) to mock up the other bracket that bridges the #2 rib and the skin stiffener didn’t work all that well. I did a lot of bending and re-bending with the first aluminum version before I was happy with the fit. I cut up another blank and bent it up per the mockup part. I then match drilled the bracket to the rib and stiffener.
