OK, I’m finally back at it. It has been almost a year - dang. I have plenty of excuses but I can’t get derailed like that again.

A year ago I was getting close to completing the fabrication work on the fuel tanks. I still need to run the vent line, fuel injection return line (still in doubt about this), flop tube anti-hang up brackets, and the capacitance fuel indication installation. At that point, I can debur and dimple and then I’ll be ready for the pro-seal. I have to admit that I am not looking forward to the pro-seal work.

So to ease back into the project I’ve decided to set aside the tank work for a while and build up a little project momentum first. I decided the wing leading edges will be the place to restart. After looking at the plans it appears that I can rivet the leading edge assemblies together but not rivet them to the spar before finishing the tanks. So that will be the plan. I’ve also recently decided not to put in the Duckworks LE light cutouts. It sounds like some good LED wing tip landing light solutions are becoming available. Decisions are good, it allows you to move on.

So the big progress for the day after all the head scratching was to dust off the Left LE and take it apart!
