Not a lot of progress tonight. I opened up the tie down holes on the bottom of each leading edge. I used a few different drill bits to progressively open up the pilot hole until I could see where the tie down bracket was. It was nearly spot on. I used a stone bit in by die grinder to adjust the center to line up with the bracket better. I will leave the final hole diameter for when I have the Van’s tie downs in hand. I dug out the Tank brackets and started edge finishing them, but I didn’t get too far. Like other’s I will use Dan Checkoway method for locating and drilling these brackets. I am still head scratching on this for now.
