-Reassembled rear spar of the Horizontal stab with all the primed parts. -Since I held off priming the elevator hinge bearing (VA146) until I was ready to prime the rest of the HS parts, it was now time to set the first rivets! I used the pneumatic squeezer with the new adjustable set holder. Started out a little wide with the spacing between dies, and tried it out on the first AN470AD4-5. Dialed it in by squeezing and then checking the shop head with the rivet gauge. Once I had the first one correct, I could do the other four. No problems with these, and they look good. -Checking the build instructions, I realized I needed to drill out to full size the holes that mount the bearing assembly to the rear spar to #12. Took care of this, disassembled the parts and deburred the holes. I had scratched up the primer some so gave the parts a quick shot with the rattle can. -Reassembled the parts and set all the rivets (AN470AD4-6’s) joining the spar (HS603PP) and stiffeners (HS609PP) on the right side (~40 rivets) with the pneumatic squeezer. Took my time and enjoyed a nice IPA in the process.
