One thing I learned is the patterns for the plate get you close, but the final fit and tack needed some finesse. I made sure the fitting was aligned with the tubing, both the reinforcement and longeron. It's important the plate is at 90 degrees to the longeron so the landing gear fittings will be aligned properly. Once that was done and tacked into place, I took a torch to the plate and made an easy bend to lay flat on the bottom tube.
