Brief Description: Rudder Anti-Collision Beacon Part 2
Once the mount was made I needed some nutplates for the screws that hold the beacon mount onto the rudder. I went for the configuration in the first pic to avoid damaging the rivets during welding. The rivets that hold the nutplates on the mount are further away from any heat generated from welding. I was very careful welding it in place. I would weld one bead, stop, let it cool, then weld the next, etc until it was done. It worked out. Rivets are in one piece and the beacon looks great.
