I checked out the fit of the tubes by putting everything back together...again...but this time I had the tubes cut to length. the alignment was almost dead-on. A little tweaking and it was smooth. Now the fun part. I have to weld two T1 tubes from the outer bushing to the end rib for stability. This really has potential for changing the alignment of the bushings, so I'll go slow. With all that structure, it would be problematic to realign them.
