Now it's time to tackle the trim drive. Unfortunately, I installed the elevators...again...without putting the T5 torque tube in place. I found the bushings inside didn't line up well, so I cut the tacks on the inner bushings. I tried a different approach in that I put in a full-length tube so all the bushings would line up at once instead of dealing with lining up the individual tubes. I left the outer bushings in place and cut the tack welds on the inner bushings. The tube turned freely doing it this way. Once the inner bushings were re-tacked I took everything off again. Tomorrow I’ll finish weld the bushings in place..
