Well...I have had a lot of practice taking the elevators on and off. It seems like every stage of the process takes alignment and then taking it all apart again. The last thing I had to do is to weld the inboard elevator hinge rings in place. That meant, of course, rigging everything back in place, setting the proper distance between the ends of the elevators and then tacking the rings in place. Four short tacks and it all comes apart again to finish weld the rings.
With that done, I can now put it all together...AGAIN...and set the trim drive. Progress is great, but tedious at this point...lots of fine work.
