OK...I just got my rod ends for my tail wires and they were just under $360 for eight ends. Is there any wonder why aviation is having a hard time to survive? Thank you, trial lawyers.
Anyway, I was able to use a long 1/4in bolt and fine-tune the incidence. It was so easy. Without the shim it was exactly 2 deg. I just rolled the nuts back until I got a gap that translated to 3 deg and measured the gap. After that, I made two shims to that measurement. Bolted in, they are exactly 3 deg...perfect.
