Brief Description:  Tailwheel Attachements

Pretty lax day, so not much shop time. I was able to cut and face the tube that takes the AN7 bolt for the tailwheel spring. I bought the counterbore on ebay for another project, but it came in really handy for this. I ground down the tube until it was just about there. I then used the counterbore to face the surface and gave it a nice, flat finish. It took almost an hour to make the pilot for the counterbore on the lathe, but only about 10 minutes to actually do the job.

Another interesting job was drilling the spring clamp bolt holes. The spring mount is such an odd shape it was hard to clamp the two so I could match drill the pieces. But, with a little finessing it worked. Welding tomorrow.
