I started out just great today. I was able to fit the T3 tubes and make a jig to weld them at the proper angle. All was going just great until I welded underneath the vee, in between the vee and the tail post. One of the T3 tubes apparently had some oil or something in it and it immediately spit a hole and blew crap all over the underneath of the vee. Unfortunately, it contaminated the weld and I fought with this thing for hours. I ground out the contamination and welded three times before I called it quits for the night. I was getting frustrated instead of problem-solving and that never bodes well for working on the airplane. Time to go to bed and fight another day. I'll try again in the morning.
