Spent a good part of the day making a form block and making two more ribs for the elevator. I have almost all the ribs I have from Avipro, but there were two that still needed to be made. It takes time to make the blocks and form ribs even though they may be simple. They aren't perfect, but entirely adequate for the job.
I fit all the bits together and sorted all the pieces that I need to complete both elevator halves. I also made the hinge parts. Plans call for 1/4in tubing, but the 5/16th .058 will work much better, especially using a clevis pin for the hinges. The 1/4 tubing just allows for a straight pin. The 5/16ths allows room for the clevis pin head. I'll start fitting parts on Monday.
