Brief Description: Rudder horn and tail spring mount Part 3
Today I put the bends in the rudder horn and the tailspring mount. The rudder horn went easy. But, the sharper inside bend of the spring mount was a little different. I normally use a 1/2in steel block with one long, rounded edge to to form the radius, but that only works for a 90deg bend. I had to get a piece of flat stock and make a forming block with more than a 90 to make this bend. Plus, it had to be deep enough to reach the bend area. It took about an hour extra time to make it happen, but the results are good and I'm ready to weld on the pieces.
