Now that I have my new tips for the Meco, I can practice some more welding.
I got a piece of 4130 and notched like the Station M tubing in two places. I welded the cuts shut, then cut the tubing lengthwise. I then beat the snot out of it with a hammer until it was flat, and then beat it some more. I only got a small crack in two spots after all that planshiing. Time for tackling Station M...
