Today I finish welded the structure that I had made so far. The next step was to fit the front and rear mounts to the fin. The rear was tricky. Lots of fiddling and tweaking to get it right...there were may odd angles here. Once the rear mount was fit, the forward mount was relatively easy. But, before I tack the mounts to the fin, it's off to the jig table to fit and weld the rest of the tubes. Once that is done I can weld the fittings to the fin while the mounts are bolted to the fuselage, that way it will be a perfect fit.
