Brief Description:  Ventral Fin Part 3

I got the fin cleaned up today and I decided to go ahead and make a new fin. The vertical tube under the front mount was cracked half way around and there was some tubing in various sections of the back portion that needed to be replaced. So instead of fiddling with fixing it, it would be about the same amount of time just to whack out a new one. Heaven knows I have a LOT of practice making components, so this will go quick. I made templates for the brackets and started drawing the layout on the jig table. It was interesting though to see how it was actually constructed and well worth getting a good look at it in the bones. There are four different sizes of tubing, something I didn't expect at all. The sequence of the fitment and welding was neat to see. I'll make a copy to fit my fuselage exactly.
