I spent quite a bit of time trying to correctly bend the ribs for my horizontal stab. Unfortunately, my chnese 48in box and pan brake is no good for .032 4130. The bends had just too much radius in them and they didn't look good. Where the fingers line up it left little marks, despite me lining them up as well as I could. I can't use my 24in Pexto brake for the two outboard ribs because they are too long. Also, when seeing that it needed a new bending bar, I dicovered quite a bit of orange rust underneath the metal. One thing led to another and I decided to completely refurbish my old brake. It was in a lot worse shape than I thought. The brake is done and it works just fine now. I also bought a 36in straight brake to make the ribs and later the door sills. I hope it's up to the task!
