Brief Description: ACK ELT Remote Switch Location Part 1
I still haven’t figured out where I want the remote ELT switch. There isn’t much real estate left in the instrument panel. The one location that would be the best (and easiest) is below the turn coordinator. I put a piece of black tape there to simulate the switch. I also considered the wing root, but from the experience of others this will not be a good place because of the potential for water making the remote horn and switch circuits do weird things. I’m not jazzed about the panel location, so I’ll keep looking.
