Started today by dimpling the rudder skin stiffeners. Used the pneumatic squeezer and dimple dies. Next I scuffed up the surface of the skins and stiffeners, cleaned with Alumi-Prep, allowed to dry and primed with the HVLP spray gun. Took a break and watched Auburn lose to Georgia and retreated back out to the shop and back riveted the stiffners to the skins.
Gathered the parts for the rudder skeleton and manufactured the shim and drilled the holes called for in the plans. Needed a 3/8 in. bolt to temporarily hold together some of the parts, couldn't find one and called it a day. Will continue working on the rudder skeleton next session.
