Began assembly of the right aileron and flap control rods. Thought it would be easier to set these up now prior to closing the wing; this was definitely the right thing to do. Shortened the flange bearing per instruction so that there was a distance of approximately 0.01 inches between thrust bearing and push rod assembly. The plans give you a distance range between 0.005 and 0.015. I drilled witness holes in all my rod end bearings. Installed all with appropriate lock nut and with a large washer on the open side to assure continued attachment should the bearing fail.
The rods and bellcrank assembly are now one and move as directed.
