Brief Description:  Wing attach failure

Had been working towards finally drilling my wing attach blocks. Have had poor weather and had been unable to proceed.
Then, could not adequately access the blocks without an angle drill so ordered a cheap Harbor Freight tool.
Then, related to some back issues I was unable to position myself in a suitable fashion within the airplane to drill. I tried anyway. The cheap drill was a pain as it will not operate if the body is held upwards. So, with a POS tool, my inability to position myself appropriately and my overwhelming desire to get this done, I managed to mangle my attach fittings.

Mangled.

I only tried the starboard side so it is "only" those two blocks. Misdrilled so badly that I actually ruined the beefy attach angles on the wing spar; Inboard on the starboard and the outboard on the port.

I still can not grasp how they came out so badly but I believe that related to the reasons above I simply lead the drill in an off angle; both sides expecting to meet in the middle. I just couldn't see. Thankfull I recognized the incorrect feel and stopped.

I had to remove the wings and dissasemble the attach fittings on the spars and will have to remake the angles and blocks. I will also have to cut out the external most spar web on the outboard port spar as it was entered badly. Luckily this is the area where access is best and I don't foresee this as terribly difficult. Some flush solid rivets to remove and screws but it is doable.

A serious setback that essentially eliminates the possibility of flight this season. I am sickened. Very concerned that I will get it back together and then screw it up again on the next attempt. I am going to need help.
