Brief Description:  Panel paint, electronics

The primer had cured and thus I sprayed the panel. The color is "Fossil"- tan really. Very pleased. Must not touch; it's hard not to play with it.

Began placing the RDAC (the data computer for the EFIS/EIS). This was difficult as It needed to be a somewhat less warm spot on the engine side of the FW. There just isn't much realestate to deal with. There is also no way to get to any nuts behind the fuel tank. Options are few. I thought about attaching it to the battery box but thought that a sensitive computer should probably not be next to such a thing; not sure if my thinking was correct. The RDAC needs standoffs as there are some electrical component thingys on the back of it. So, I had a "creative idea and placed nut plates- backwards. Yes this type of non-nylon plate allows the screw to be placed "backwards" Really was a good idea until I found out that my nutplates were not in alignment. I ended up making a secondary piece to afix the RDAC to. It works but the thing is crooked. I know it doesn't matter but it bugs me. This took way too long.

Also placed the throttle cable -bought a really cool cable penetration/retaining device which worked well once I updrilled it to accept my monster cable housing. Interesting how the Sonex cable housing is plastic coated. I guess it just doesn't get that hot in there.

Used adel clamps to place my capacitor. Also placed the alt OV relay (little black device under the battery)

Finalized the fuel vent tube. It exits at the gascolator sump. Will need to trim once I know the cowling fit. Fabricated a little bracket to hold the vent tube just so.

Made the flexible fuel line from the FW port into the gascolator. This thing was really easy and looks great. Now I just hope it doesn't leak.
