Spent 2 hours laying out the templates I will be using to contour the sides and bottom of the nose.Also prep work for the critical drilling operation. Chris came by and helped with boring out the two holes for the lift tab bushings.I forgot to open the holes to 1/4" in Chapter 12 and when I did so in CH13 the sides were already in place so I had to drill them from behind the bulkhead. The angles were way off so as I had filed the holes to allow alignment of the bolts to go in perpendicular with the lift tabs. We left the lift tab in place to start the boring in the files out hold. Being very careful we only drilled enough to start the hole, then removed the canard and completed the operation and then fit the bushing, reinstalled the canard, verified the incidence and performed the same operation for the second hole.
