F22 was assembled using the method recommended by John Slade. F22 is comprised of three sections. The upper piece, lower piece and three small pieces to connect the upper and lower pieces. The parts are assembled using duct tape beneath each joint, on the top edge of each joint duct tape is also applied so overrun does not get onto the foam. The joint is folded so that the surface is exposed and 5 minute epoxy applied to both sides. The joint is then folded closed, excess epoxy removed and bricks used to weigh the part. This method is used for connecting all bulkhead joints. The remaining instrument panel parts were also cut to size.
