I cut the elevator spar tube leaving it a little long and smushed the outboard end to 1/2 inch. (I actually cut and smushed both left and right elevator spars now.) I bent the forward T6 piece but I actually did a "practice" piece because I accidently used some T5 tubing the first time. The aft T3 tube was a little tricky because it's such a long piece. I spent a long time working on it - probably about 2 hours.
I made a oak rib backing blank for the two long ribs. I made one rib but I screwed it up because I notched the aft end but I should not have notched it because Tthe aft tube will be cut for the trim tab and I need to let the rib cover the end of the tube. I was able to use one of my "practice" pieces from the stabilizer for the rib at the counter balance section so that was a bonus that countered my new "practice" part.
I also positioned the hinges and router cut a resess in the table top to accommodate the hinges leaving the elevator spar flat on the table. The other tubes were shimmed to accommodate the differences.
