I finished making the hinges today. I made two "practice" hinges because I screwed up the threads on the nut for the grease fitting after it was welded on. So by the 7th and 8th hinge I had it down!
Next I assigned each hinge a location then marked the top strap for drilling. To locate the hole I placed the hinge at its assigned location using a 3/16" block to space it correctly behind the stabilizer aft tube. Then I drilled the top hole with the drill press. I'll drill the hole in the bottom strap with the hinge in position.
