Brief Description: Install right main and aux tank
Well the new short straps for the main tanks fit like a glove. The main tank fit is compete.
I was a bit concerned about the aux tank fit after the main tank issue. Andrea helped me assemble the aux tank hardware. She used the pneumatic squeezer and riveted the buckle on the straps.
I bolted the aux tank straps into position then started working with the aux tank. It was exactly like the aux tank in the other wing. The straps were the correct length and the tensioning had to be just right to make it fit. These aux tanks definitely needed to have all straps adjustable to be able to dial it in just right. Just like the other wing it's a little tight - if I need to I can get a more forgiving fit if I use felt on the top strap... or all straps if I need to. For now it looks like it will just fit. If I could I would have made the aux tanks at least about 1/8" less in height.
Both tanks are now installed on the right wing - plumbing next...
