Brief Description: Mount light lens, start deburring skins
I finished up the backing ring for the landing light lens. I also machined the dimples in the lens. Then I fit the lens to the wing. There's a little gap at the leading edge that I don't really like. The light on the other other wing fit tight. I'll mess with it later but I may add a screw at that point to tighten it up.
While I was playing with the landing light I hooked it up to a 12v battery and tried it out. It's bright!
I was going over my notes on the other wing and it was at this point that I started mounting the fuel tanks. After mounting the fuel tanks I found it was easier to do it with the skins off. Also when it came time to dimple the ribs I had to remove the tanks to do the ribs around the tank. So I decided I'll start the deburring and dimple of the skins and ribs on this wing now.
I went over the wing and checked that all holes were drilled. There were a few that I still needed to open up to #30 and a few places on the overlapped skins that I needed to add some holes. I removed the strip of plastic around the holes and deburred one skin.
