Brief Description:  Drill spars

It's time to drill the skins to the spars. I actually had to go back and look at my log to jog my memory of my next step (must have been all that sunshine yesterday! - or the extra year I just added to my age!)

Last wing before drilling the spars I pulled all the skins off and checked the spar for level. When I last had all the panels off this wing I rechecked the spar for level and it was good with no adjustments nessisary. I considered not going though the process of pulling all the skins and checking again but I decided to do it for piece of mind.

I took all the skins off and cut the inspection hole in panel #3. With all the skins off I rechecked the alignment of the wing attach brackets with the laser level and they were right on. I also checked the main spar and made about a 1/16" adjustment in two legs. Maybe not enough to make a difference for all the work but I still felt better doing it.

I put all the panels back on and drilled the main spar. Andrea helped me with the clecoing. I started on the rear spar but only got some of the bottom done. I remembered this time to mark where the aileron pocket ribs were and worked them into the layout. Luck worked in my favor on the other wing but I figured I better not push it again!
