I started putting the parts that I just painted on permanently. I installed the nut plates and riveted the landing lights attach brackets to the nose ribs. I riveted the conduit attach brackets to the nose ribs. I also riveted the rib attach angles for center rib #11 and the corresponding angle for the nose and aileron pocket ribs. I also reinstalled the aileron cable guides and riveted the attach bracket for the aileron cable fairlead.
I also checked the aux tank fitting and everything looks good there. Brian said that the tank would grow a little with welding. After welding on the drain fitting on the bottom I was hoping it wouldn't protrude beyond the bottom skin - it doesn't.
