Brief Description: Aileron support frames attached
I brought the Chief home again so I spent a big chunk of my day playing around. I guess I better leave it in the hanger if I'm going to get anything done!
A couple days ago I noticed a hint of rust on one of my steal parts. I sand blasted it and put a temporary coat of protective paint on it. I figure I better get these steal parts ready to paint.
I assembled the parts on the aileron support frames and positioned and clamped them into place. I was checking the alignment of the bellcrank and it was off a little bit on both wings. They were off in different directions so I swapped the bellcranks and flipped them over and they fit much better. I did have to tilt the support frame a little bit on the left wing for a good alignment of the bellcrank.
Once I had everything position how I wanted it then I drilled the holes and bolted the frames on.
