A few months ago I had 3 events happen that caused me to lose over a years worth of my kitlog. My laptop that I used for my kitlog crashed and I lost my hard drive, my home computer crashed and I lost the hard drive that had several backups of my kitlog and the thumb drive that had my most recent backups become corrupt and I lost my data. So today I finally decided to sit down and rebuild it from a backup file I have from over a year ago.
I was able to get a spread sheet that had my entries but I had to rebuild each page and reenter the information and find the matching photos. I reentered everything since Oct 2010 to Sep 14, 2011. I’ve worked on my Bearhawk over the last few months so I just filled in a few logs from my photo date stamps.
The funny thing that I've come to realize is that my kitlog is very much a part of my building process. I've had a hard time mentally getting into working on my Bearhawk because I didn't yet have a means to log it. Now that I have it back up there are no excuses!
