I haven't really seen much info as to how others have made the rib stiffener angles. I was thinking of setting up a cutting guide using the Harbor Freight throatless shears. After a couple of test cuts I didn't like the quality of the cut at all. Looks like this tool won't be much use to me. I ended cutting a pattern piece out of the 1" strip for each size. Then I just traced all the pieces onto the strip and cut them out with a good pair of snips. Nothing fancy about that and it actually went a lot quicker than I thought.
I would cut a batch of about 20 at a time them deburr each piece while it was still flat. After deburring the angle was bent using the 18" bending brake. Working 20 or so pieces at a time broke it up a little. Once again the deburring was the most tedious and time consuming part of the process. I do think it was easier to deburr the pieces before bending them.
I was doing the cutting and deburring and Andrea was running the bending brake.
All the rib stiffener angles are done and ready for drilling.
