Brief Description:  Center ribs debur lightening holes

First thing to do today was to get caught back up by flanging, drilling lightening holes, and deburring the 2 rib remakes. It just so happened the smaller deburring wheels came via UPS just when I needed them. I played around with them trying different techniques, die grinder, drill press, and the 1 inch wheel on the die grinder seemed to work best.

I completed the 2 new ribs and once I had those done I felt like I was back on pace. One thing I noted is that using the 1 inch scotch brite wheel on the lightening holes was wearing it down fast. Just two ribs had taken a lot out of it. At that rate I was afraid I wouldn't even get though the whole stack so I decided to give the "5 inch" wheel another try. Funny thing, now that it was a 5 inch wheel rather than a 6 inch wheel it worked much better!

I deburred all the remaining ribs with the 5 inch wheel and gave it a quick pass with the 1 inch wheel. This procedure worked pretty well.

All center ribs are deburred so all that is needed now is to flange the lightening holes on the fourteen .025 ribs. Since the .032 ribs don't need to be flanged they are now done.

The last three days were school days so Andrea couldn't help much. I'm going to have to change my work schedule so we can work together.
