Brief Description:  Jig fuselage for gear

I moved the original fuselage table top under the front of the fuselage. Using the lay out already on the table I set the fuselage in position to build the legs. I hung a plumb bob on the front and aft of the table center line. I secured a 7' 2x4 in position for the axles and marked the 72" tread line. The 1' square tubing pieces I had from the fuselage jig worked good to hold the axels in position on the welded end. With the 2x4 on the centerline of the axles the 1' sq. tubing lined up on the 2x4 edge. I didn't have enough sq. tube pieces so I used some 3/4" blocks on the thread end.

It took a little longer to set up than I thought it would. I was hoping to start fitting some tubing. I did at least get a good feel moment when after everything was set up I measured from the tail post to the axle ends and they matched exactly so the time was well worth it.

There's been several engineering changes to the landing gear. The material I have on hand I'd ordered before some of the changes so as I was checking inventory I realized I need to order some tubing.
