Brief Description:  Landing gear reinforcement parts

The tubing I needed came so I cut a few pieces I needed per the engineering notice to reinforce the landing gear. One reinforcement is a 5 inch piece of 1-1/4 x .120 tubing inserted into the axel. This is recommended for aircraft that will be operated extensively over 2200 #. I don’t expect to be operating “extensively” at that weight but I do plan on doing some rough field operations so I decided to add it now. The nice surprise is that the piece slips right into the axel without any need to hone it first. It’s held in place with loctite #277.

There is also a change notice how the brake mounting plate is attached to axle - it’s no longer welded directly onto the axel but welded to a 1-11/16 inch long 1-5/8 X .58 tube that slips over the axel.

I started forming the leg tube ends that will attach to the bushing at the fuselage attach points.
