Brief Description:  Side diagonals, float mods

"Starting at the tail I started filling in the side diagonals. I also removed and replaced the vertical on the right side of station D-N. I forgot to change it to a T11 as part of the mods for floats. I'm putting in the mods for floats so I have that option later if I chose. It took a little time to gather all the mod information because it's change a little since the information was in Bear-Tracks.

In Bear-Tracks April 1996 there is some information for a change in tubing sizes to be used when planning for floats. Basically the differences are to change the verticals and diagonals at station E-M from T10 to T11. That info was pre-cargo door option. The cargo door mod made several changes there so I wasn't sure what to do. I asked the group and got all the information I needed to proceed.

I got this from Eric - ""Bob says the truss on the cargo door is sufficient for the float install so no modification on that side. He side on the other side, the added vertical tube that comes with the cargo door mod is sufficient strength for the vertical tube. However, the T10 diagonal should be changed to a T11.""

I got some great info from Paul too for some additional tubing changes aproved by Bob. The vertical change to T11 on the right side of station D-N is one. The short vertical under the cargo door at station E-M is changed to a T11. The is a T10 added to the top of the cargo door and a T5 diagonal off of the aft of that angled up to station M.

After all my prep I forgot to change the diagonals between station F-L & G-K on the cargo door side. So I removed the diagonal and changed it to the ""V"" as shown on the cargo door mod page 16A. I've learn that you really have to prep because the information is kind of scattered around."
