At first I tried to bend the edges on the top three edges like the plans show for the normal attachment. This really didn't work out to well for attaching the hinges, so I ended up cutting those edges off and fitted the panel to a flat edge. This worked much better. I am going to need to put the seat in and test this setup before I do my final mounting of the lower section.
