Brief Description: Installed and swaged rudder cables
Installed rear rudder cables. The rear cable loops had to be compressed in a vice to get them to fit in the rudder control arm (6mm reduced to 5mm). Greased and installed the rear cable loops, used loctite 242 and red paint on the bolts. Put rudder jig back on rudder and stuck wood between the jig and the rear vertical stab to hold the rudder control arm centered. Installed swage rings and cable loops in rear fuselage, measured and swaged the first ring. slid the second ring off the looped part of the cable, cut the cable loop at the rear of the 2nd swage ring location using a Linesman plyers (a heavy duty wire cutter), slid the second swage ring back over the looped part of the cable lining it up with the freshly cut cable end and swaged it on.
