I stated in a June entry I was satisfied with the measurement on the simulated spar and the distances on 804 carry through. Well I guess I wasn't really. I used a dial caliper to measure the wing spar and found the measurement to be 1.4375". So exactly 1 and 7/16" inches. My measurement of the gap on the center section was 1.435" I didn't like the fact the gap was less then the width of the spar. So, I reworked the spar simulator with some shims IE card stock to bring the gap to 1.440". With the gap a little over the spar I'm happy knowing it should fit.
