Brief Description:  Wing Tips

Finished the dimppling of the left wing tip. Riveted the plate nuts on the left tip. trial fit the tip to the left wing. Looks very good. There are a few places where I'll have to perform some close fitting of the fiberglass and the edge of the wing skins.
Began the fitting of the right wing tip to the wing. sanding and cutting the excess fiberglass from the flange area. This one went a little better than the left wing. The gap at the skin and tip is a little wider than the left. Although I think I'll trim the left one down a bit more to match the right. Over all the gap on the right tip and skin is 1/8" or just slightly wider. Good clearance so there will be no binding of the aileron.
Drilled the right tip and skin to #28 drill. Then went to set up the #6 plate nuts to find out the #28 hole is to big to center the plate nut to the hole. Oops, Thinking fast I used a #8 plate nut to drill the rivet holes. The two plate nuts are exactly the same overall diminsions whew!! Completed all the drilling, counter sinking of all rivets and screw holes.
Long day shoulders are sore from all the drilling.
