Working on the gap that has been created why I dont' know but it creates an ugly depression along the bottom of the fuselage along the rivit line. By inserting a .063 shim I've redueced the depression. I think I need to add another .025 and it should be fine. I still have a buckle or wave between F809 and F808, I've decided to add a stiffner between the two bulkheads which I can mount the transponder antenna to along with the Dynon transponder unit. This will put the transponder just aft of the F808 bulkhead, near the battery. Which will make the antenna cable very short and place a little weight in the tail. My understanding is the RV8A is a little nose heavy anyway.
