Originally posted 8/18/2007 Tapped rudder bolts. Plans state AN3 hardware, yet the tubes back there are just a little shy of AN5 (5/16-24 tpi). Tapped 5/16-24tpi. I'll make up some brass stops, and locktite into the place. Need to check a few other builders, but my thought is the bolt heads + jam nuts will limit rudder travel too much. updated 3/39/2009 ERROR.... those holes are to have AN3 bolts with nuts, shimmed with washers, to adjust for max deflection. Opps.
